I have received an email from the Manchester Dance Consortium advertising a micro choreolab being held next month.  It may be of interest.

 

Micro Choreolab at Chetham's School of Music

Manchester Dance Consortium is delighted to announce we will be holding our Micro Choreolab on 5th and 6th July at Chetham's School of Music (central Manchester). Led by choreographer Emilyn Claid and composer Dr Chris Best, the Micro Choreolab will explore the relationship between composition and choreography, so Chetham’s is a perfect partner venue for this venture!

 

The choreolab will facilitate collaboration between dancers and musicians. If you are interested in participating please see below for more details.

Suitable for 3rd year HE students, graduates & professionals

 

Thurs 4th July- 13:00-17:00- Studio 3 at the Lowry, Salford Quays

Movement workshop led by Niku Chaudhari (Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's

Eastman Company). Cost: £11.50

 

Fri 5th July (12:00-18:00) & Sat 6th July (11:00-17:00) - Chetham's School of Music

Micro Choreolab run by Emilyn Claid (www.emilynclaid.co.uk) and musician Chris Best (www.christopherbest.net). The sessions will focus on collaboration and experimentation between dancers and musicians. We are aiming for a 20/10 ratio of dancers to musicians. Each day will be different, so it is possible to attend only one of the sessions. Costs: 1 day= £22.50   2 days= £35
