robin64
We were lucky enough to see a rehearsal for Romeo a Juliet and it is amazing. It brought tears to my eyes and that was without the orchestra, costumes or scenery that will be part of the performance on 3rd and 4th of May at the Riverfront Theatre in Newport. Please try and see it, you will thoroughly enjoy the beautiful dancing and inspiring choreography. What a talented group and such lovely people too. They give so much back to young people and the community.

Sim
Is this MacMillan's version?
Jan McNulty
No - it's a brand new production choreographed by AD Darius James. The company has 10 dancers so may not be able to populate the Macmillan version! I can't get to see Ballet Cymru often but they are terrific and Darius James is very imaginative. I saw his production of The Tempest last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it.
robin64
They are doing a tour so it might be possible to catch them elsewhere. Here is the link which will hopefully work. http://www.welshballet.co.uk/tour-dates/
trog
Does the new production use the three ladders as the set? Their original production did (and that was all) and was amazing.
