Beryl H
There are 1 or more £11 tickets for the Saturday matinee at the moment.
alison
BTW, does anyone have an idea of the running time for this yet? It must be pretty much set in stone by now, but there's nothing on the ROH website. I'm assuming it must be quite long since they've seen fit to make it an early-start performance, something which is not common for the Linbury. billboyd
£27 (£15 students) - all performances....
alison
Seeing that "£15" without it being available to all-comers is almost as annoying as going onto Birmingham Hippodrome's website and thinking the BRB prices aren't so bad after all, until you realise that the bottom price shown is actually the half-price for children

Don't know if the running time includes the interval.
Tony Newcombe
Many thanks. Can now make comfortable travel arrangements
alison
And I can't . Why on earth did it need to be such an early start if it's so short?!
bangorballetboy
And I can't . Why on earth did it need to be such an early start if it's so short?! I wouldn't classify 7.30 as a early start (and 7.00 starts on Saturday are not unusual with RB).
alison
But it's a 7.00 start (and I think they are unusual for the Linbury). 12 minutes for me to make it from the train into the Linbury, which is why I'm not risking it.
alison
Sorry, just realised: this is part of my earlier moan about not being able to make the Saturday evening performance (the only one for which I've had an opportunity of getting a ticket) because of a combination of work-related events out of town and one-off engineering works on the line back in turning what should have been way less than an hour's journey into 1 1/2. Just in case that wasn't clear, which I suspect it wasn't .
Beryl H
There are more "last few tickets" available right now, every performance. Any news about the music?
alison
Currently at least 20 tickets for every performance except the first night, so I'd guess they've finalised seating arrangements. Still no standing tickets going spare, though
bangorballetboy
Any news about the music? We've known since mid-March that the music is a commissioned score by Dan Jones, who is known for his film scores. You can hear the begining here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/theatre/dance/9927513/Hansel-and-Gretel-first-dance-rehearsal.html

You can hear the begining here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/theatre/dance/9927513/Hansel-and-Gretel-first-dance-rehearsal.html I looked Dan Jones up on the Internet and found he composed the soundtrack for Shadow of the Vampire, I have the DVD of this and find the music very evocative and mesmerising, sounds very exciting,
bangorballetboy
Rehearsal yesterday was just under 1 hour 40 minutes, not including the interval.
zxDaveM
Rehearsal yesterday was just under 1 hour 40 minutes, not including the interval. the evening dress rehearsal was 2hr 5mins, inc a 25mins interval. So the 1hr 40mins run time was bang on! :-)
alison
The website now has: "Act One will last for about 55 minutes followed by a 25 minute interval. Act Two will last for about 40 minutes."
