Katymac
OK - I know this is superficial and pathetic But what do I wear? Afternoon tea & then the Theatre.....
Anna C
Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is lovely but very modern (it's only a couple of years old). I wouldn't think you'd need to dress up too much. :-)
Katymac
Just got the paperwork through for this; is anyone else (or their DC) going? I know DD would be pleased to have 'met' someone before the day
DancingDays
Hi Katymac - my DD is going, she been allocated to Mars Group D. She's 10 and although one other girl from her Dance School is going, she's 15 and in a different group altogether. How old is your DD?
porthesia
Takes me back to the hours I used to spend at Tring. I used to frequent a small coffee shop up the side street from Costas - think it was called Coasters - lovely cup cakes but not very big inside. Hope all of your DC's enjoy the workshop and that you all have a good day and enjoy the show.
Loulabelle
My DD is going too she is 12 and in Jupiter Group G. Looks like a good day and looking forward to the show in the evening which I'm sure will be excellent if last years is anything to go by.

Katymac
DD is 15 and in quite a small group I think - I've forgotten the name but it's purple <blush> She's a bit nervous & not completely convinced she wants to go (as she doesn't feel competant enough)
Anna C
I'm sure she'll be fine and have a wonderful day, Katymac. Tring's dance days are really excellent, and assuming they did (as usual) ask on the paperwork about grades/standards studied they are good at getting the groupings right. Bet she has a whale of a time. :-)
along for the ride mum
I wonder how they've chosen the groups, it must a nightmare to sort. My dd is 11 and in Mars d. I don't remember filling in any details about her grades but I guess I must have or else how on Earth could they sort them! It would.be nice to say hello to a few balletcoums, I am especially interested to know.if any mums of girls about to start vocational schools in yr7 in Sept will be around, please feel free to pm me if you are Edited June 14, 2013 by along for the ride mum
Katymac
DD's in Jupiter Group H - I imagine it's been tricky working out levels.......DD doesn't 'fit' I guess as she has been doing Ballet for such a short time
Katymac
So it looks like we are all in different groups - that's a shame
Happymum
My DD, 9 is also in group Mars D and my DS, 7 is in group A ( Venus?). They are excited though my DS is a bit nervous as this is his first experience with ballet outside his everyday ballet class. The main thing is that ( looking at the names on the list) he is not the only boy in his group. I'm looking forward to it, hope to meet all balletcoers there :-) Edited June 17, 2013 by Happymum
along for the ride mum
perhaps all balletcoers should wear a red carnation or something

Lildancer96
I'm not going to Aylesbury to see the show - it's on for 5 nights at Tring too so we are watching it there !
kiwimum6
It is on at Tring ( I am seeing it Saturday) but i think it will be better to see it with the live 70 piece orchestra in Aylesbury and on a bigger stage. The theatre is too small to have the orchestra in Tring.
