Bruce
LEGAT Blue Plaque to be unveiled in Colet Gardens, Baron’s Court on April 9th at 12 noon There are few Blue Plaques mounted which recognize dancers so it is good to know that this teacher is being recognized. Legat taught at the building in Colet Gardens from 1928 until his death in 1937, after which the building was taken over by Sadlers Wells Ballet, then later The Royal Ballet. Amelia
What an excellent news! Nikolai Gustavovich Legat did deserve it! It is No.46 in Colet Gardens, isn't it? Thank you, Bruce, for this information. He was buried in Tunbridge Wells: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSsr=481&GSvcid=14409&GRid=32471259& The last para added.
