Hello,

My daughter will be attending auditions for year 9 entry. I am curious to know whether these differ to year 7/8 admission auditions. She has attended year 7/8 semi-finals and finals, so has some insight to help prepare, but we are wondering whether the content will be more advanced for year 9/10 admissions. We are grateful that she has been given a third chance and want to do everything we can with the limited resources we have to prepare and give her the best chance, so any insight is welcome.

Thank you

I don’t know the exact answer but you could try looking on YouTube for uploaded audition videos as I doubt they have changed that much. My DD was a senior associate and her video was fairly simple, probably about intermediate RAD standard. I think the same one would have been used if applying for full time vocational training.

Most schools I think offer similar experience days….they book up quick

Good luck!

My daughter is year 10....they were doing intermediate standard work last year. Tbh they take it fairly slow the early years concentrating on technique. I think they were only doing double pirroutes and fouttes after Christmas last year....but only just starting! Pointe work still quite basic. Year 10 is now ramping up....I'd aim for intermediate level xx
