Jan McNulty Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Hello @JTadultdancer and welcome to the Forum! We are a mainly UK-based forum but we do have some people who post from time to time from America. Happy New Year to you too!

I used to moderate the Adult Ballet sections of Ballet Talk for Dancers (together with another BalletCoUK member who was also a moderator), but for all sorts of reasons (mainly to do with the owner of the site finally retiring from public life), we took the tough decision to close it 18 months ago. A very keen member of BT4D set up a new site, called "Ballet PursuiT - google that and it should come up pretty easily. BT4D might still come up on the Wayback machine ... It's not got as much traffic as the old BT4D, and very little of usefulness in the Adult Ballet section. However, I think if @JTadultdancer posted there, he or she might get some responses. I'm in NYC most years for at least a couple of weeks - I always take class when I'm there, at Steps, Joffrey, and Peridance. I go to particular teachers, from whom I know I can still learn new tings (for an older body). Happy to answer questions about the people I've found to be excellent & inspiring teachers in Manhattan. Peanut68 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I know an older dancing adult (70+ I’d say improver level) who lives part of year in NY & she takes regular classes held by NYCB apparently!
