Angelina17 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hello, I am hoping someone may be able to share feedback about London Vocational Ballet School. I know it was under another name previously so I will add LVS and LVBS in the hopes someone responds. I am considering to put my daughter there for audition for entry at year 6. I am well aware she likely will not be offered a place but I am just wanting to learn more about the school in the off chance she is offered a place. Her well being is my priority and I just want to make sure I am sending her somewhere safe. If anyone has recent experience of the school could they share what it is like in practice? 1. Are the children following a normal academic schooling - how many GCSEs do they typically take? 2. Do they have to re-audition each year to "keep their place"? The nightmare would be if she is managed out after a few years and we miss the usual cohort of joining school at 11. 3. Are the kids well cared for and happy there? I am not a ballet background so I really don't know much about the schools but I know there has been issues around ballet schools in the past. 4. Eating disorders - Is there issues around this at the school? 5. Phone usage - Does anyone know what the mobile phone policy is like that the school? I would really hugely appreciate some feedback from parents who have kids, or recently had children at the school sharing what it is like. Thank you so so much! 1
