dancingqueen2601 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Hi DD about to begin auditioning but we are trying to organise what locations and when. She’s worried that people will be selected at the first auditions therefore fewer places will be available for round 2 when it comes to her doing her 1st audition later. Is there a maximum number selected for each first audition does anyone know??
Jan McNulty Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Hello @dancingqueen2601 and welcome to the Forum!
Ruby Foo Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 If you have what they're looking for ( physically, technically and performance wise including musicality) then be assured, you will get a second audition. I don't think there is a set number of students. Each school will have a different number - anything from 30-60 approx. 3
WhereToNow Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 From last year, I wouldn’t say their is a set number of students. They will just add more dates/times to the 2nd round.
taxi4ballet Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 They will call as many as they like the look of to a second audition/finals, so it doesn't matter which preliminary audition you attend. 1
Pointetoes Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 When DD started her degree they were congratulated on getting their places because only 7% of those who were offered auditions were standing there. That was not including those who applied but didn't get a first round audition. There is no method to it, if they like you they will invite you to the next round. Just remember its not a reflection on whether your child is good enough its whether they are right for that school.
