Doing Dance 1 Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Just seen this and thought it might be of interest. ‘Following our Boys Experience Day earlier this year we’re introducing a weekly Boys Ballet Class. These weekly classes, starting on Saturday 9 November, are perfect for male identifying dancers aged 10-14. Students should have at least three years of training and be able to dance at an intermediate level. Students who are already in full time training at a vocational ballet school are also welcome.’ https://www.enbschool.org.uk/news/introducing-weekly-ballet-classes-for-boys/ Would a typical 10/ 11 year old really be working at Intermediate level? RAD have the minimum age for Intermediate foundation at 11 and Intermediate at 12. https://www.royalacademyofdance.org/app/uploads/2024/03/RAD-Specifications-2023-20032024.pdf#page10
Horsellian Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 I assume by intermediate level it means "not beginners" rather than "RAD Intermediate", so for a 10 yr old maybe grade 4/5? 1
