In July 2024, we brought together three choreographers and three composers for a paid residency at DanceEast in Ipswich. Our latest film, created by Poetry Film Productions, charts the process of that our cohort of Compositions & Configurations participants enjoyed. The sun shone that little bit brighter this summer as our MBC dancers lit up the Waterfront Stage at Latitude Festival. The company performed Bates Beats and an excerpt of Moonbendto an appreciative crowd on the stage programmed by our friends at DanceEast. AN UPDATE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, ANDREW MCNICOL At the beginning of September, Andrew had the prestigious honour of being the commissioned choreographer for the Royal Academy of Dance's Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition! A huge congratulations from all at MBC to everyone who took part, and to worthy winners Antonia Maria Cramb (Gold), Lydia Hough (Silver) and Alfie-Lee Hall & Ernesto Young (Bronze).
