TINAK
Congratulations to those who got through to the finals. Unfortunately my DD got the "no" letter, however it did say that she performed well - does it say that on every "no" letter?? Does anyone know? swanprincess
It said that on my No letters last year & the year before... Huge congrats to your dds/ds Spax, Plie & Theodore, good luck to everyone still waiting!
JulieW
Welcome to the forum Tinak and sorry to hear that your dd got a "no" letter. They do tend to say something along those lines in all the letters and they like to encourage everyone to think of auditioning again in the future - as you'll read frequently on here - it's not necessarily "no" just "not yet". Remember that actually the vast majority of those who audition will get a "no" rather than a "yes" - reading this forum can sometimes make it look like everyone's got in!

Thanks for your welcome JulieW! It's just that in the past when auditioning for JA's it didn't say anything personal like that - just wondering!! Pasdebourree15
Has anyone heard from the Manchester (SA and years 10 and 11) auditions yet? Also does anyone know the chances of getting in to the Years 10 or 11... I've been told it's very unlikely.

BBA
Hi Ballet jack, perhaps phone and check that your letter has been sent - I think I would do that now xx
Siconne50
Yes i did ring them, they said letters have been sent out, but allow up to 5 days! Didn't think 1st class could take that long!
2dancersmum
I feel for you balletjack. Whenever my DD has applied for things I have followed all the yes/no results posted and the thread has always moved onto new topics by the time our letter arived. We do not live anywhere remote, just apparently in a postal black hole where all the 1st class letters from ballet schools really did take the 5 days quoted. Hope it brings good news when it finally arrives congratulations to those with a yes and commiserations to those with a 'not yet'

taxi4ballet
Letter came this morning - it's a no for dd (what a nicely worded letter) but she isn't too upset because she says she didn't really think it would be a yes anyway. She feels much more sorry for everyone who had really high hopes, and have been disappointed.

taxi4ballet
Thanks thequays, she has a wise head on young shoulders, especially as we've had to turn down her Tring place because I'm not brave enough to rob a bank!
afab
I remember that feeling of turning down Tring... We had to do it twice last year for DD1 and DD2... When DD3 asked if she could audition, I told her there was no point since we couldn't afford it! You see even though our kids are British, we're not entitled to MDS... I was counting on DADA though! Balletgirlsplease
Not sure about for WL finals (we are waiting for mids) but when we got JA letters (one was a yes and one was a no for my two dd's) they were both exactly the same from the outside! Belljul
Think both letters will be a single sheet at this stage. Edited to remove confusion Edited February 6, 2013 by Belljul
