Maryy Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I'm currently looking for online (private/group) ballet coaching for additional training. I already knew about a few well-known platforms and teachers that offered online coaching. They are really good teachers, but the prices are really expensive and I can't really afford it for the long term. If anyone knows any platforms, teachers, or professionals that offer online coaching, please let me know. It would be better if it was at a reasonable price. I would really appreciate your help😊  1
swanprincess Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Hello Maryy, I have sent you a PM, I offer online classes in the Vaganova method Many thanks, Sophie 2
NeverTooOld Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Try this https://www.laetitialosardoballet.com/. I do her adult repertoire class each week online and it is amazing. Fantastic teacher who gives detailed corrections but also shares so much more in terms of characterisation, performance etc. 2

EW PBT Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 (edited) Hello,  Zoom training - weekly and private This isn’t strictly what you've asked for, but I offer a weekly group class and private tuition online for PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), this proven conditioning programme used by students and professionals around the world works extremely well online as it doesn’t require as much space as a full ballet class and is much safer as can easily be done on any floor surface. I am a highly qualified teacher who comes with personal recommendation from Marie Walton-Mahon - Founder and creator of PBT, I guarantee you it will improve your child's classical technique and strength much better than a regular ballet class on zoom. Over lock-down I took on many vocational students from the UK’s top ballet schools, all were complimented on their improved strength on return which was very unusual at that time, my students therefore were in a much better place physically to return to training and none of them got injured as a result - this again was very unusual as most students were out of condition and therefore picked up injuries very quickly.  My classes are very reasonable and are kept small in my group classes on zoom to allow me to focus on individual students.  An in person private as a starting point is always preferable (my studio is in Gloucester) however this is not essential and could be done on zoom.  Check out my Facebook and Instagram account - Ellie Wright PBT - https://www.facebook.com/EllieWrightPBT - https://www.instagram.com/ellie_wright_pbt/  In person Associates programme based in the Midlands I also run a fantastic new associates programme in Birmingham that’s only once a month for school years 5 and above. PBT Associates UK.  It focusses on the work of PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), which is an amazing programme designed in Australia with proven results in greatly improving ballet technique. It runs with full support from Marie Walton-Mahon, founder and creator of PBT. A lot of my regular my students are at vocational schools and all get praised for their maintained and improved strength from holiday training with me. Last year I had 7 students successfully audition and go off to the leading ballet schools in the UK.  The programme consists of a PBT lesson which is directly followed by a ballet lesson to put the improved technique learnt and strength into practice.  There are some open classes running presently, October and November with auditions for the programme in December for a January start. No PBT experience is required to attend the open classes or audition, the audition will be a ballet class.  Please have a look at the following application pack which has a link to the registration form for open classes and application form for audition in it for further details: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pqfjw-SJipTna6vDQ4q1_Z40E5hwX20c/view?usp=sharing  You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram PBT Associates UK - https://www.facebook.com/PBTassociatesuk - https://www.instagram.com/pbt_associates_uk/  Feel free to message me if you have any further questions.  Ellie   Edited October 7, 2022 by EW PBT 1
Kate_N Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 But what's a "reasonable price" ??  You're paying for expertise, talent, ability - these things don't come cheaply. Teachers I rate do online or in-person privates for between £50-£60 per hour.  We need to pay highly experienced artists, teachers & coaches what their life time of experience is worth. 3
Maryy Posted October 8, 2022 Author Posted October 8, 2022 £50-£60 per hour is a normal and reasonable price to me. I mentioned this because I've seen prices that are very expensive like £70 for 30 min only.
Mummy twinkle toes Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Runqiao Du offers live lessons online. He is in the US but you join by zoom. You would need to check times. He taught at the Kirov and is a very good teacher. A single class of 90 minutes is $25. You can find out more here:Â https://runqiaodu.com ENB were also offering online classes but not sure if they still are. They have some free YouTube videos of ballet classes that they filmed at the beginning of the pandemic.
