Ida Rubinstein: The Final Act tells the untold story of dance's forgotten diva, the early 20th Century Russian impresario, performer, and femme fatale. From Paris to Palestine, from dancing with the Ballets Russes to commissioning Ravel’s Boléro, Ida Rubinstein’s career as a dancer and impresario saw her working with artists such as Stravinsky, Nijinsky and Debussy. But despite her varied career and her fame in her own time, her name is all but forgotten, whilst her contemporaries live on in memory.

Now Naomi Sorkin, an actor and former ballerina with American Ballet Theatre recounts the Russian heiress’ dramatic life: her scandalous Salomé that lead her embarrassed family to commit her to an asylum, her rise to the heights of fame in Paris, her bisexual love affairs, the assassination of her long-time lover Lord Moyne, and her selfless devotion to wounded soldiers in both World Wars.

Ida Rubinstein: The Final Act combines text, movement, music, projections and film to evoke a long-gone era of theatrical extravagance. Ida Rubinstein: The Final Act brings together a stellar team of creatives...

Director and Choreographer Christian Holder (choreography includes American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet), Design by twice Bafta-winner and Emmy award-winning Production Designer  David Roger, Lighting Design by Declan Randall and Matthew Ferguson Videographer. The cast includes Darren Berry, Marco Gambino, Naomi Sorkin, Max Wilson and Kathryn Worth.

Lin:  Without getting into a lengthy tech diversion, I wonder if you're getting messages saying your browser won't connect because of 'security' issues?  Using Chrome, I've been plagued by these on certain sites since midweek - Culture Whisper hasn't been one for me - but using Firefox I can connect without difficulty.  (DanceTabs, Fjord Review, Glasgow Herald, Critical Dance are examples for me and there are others.)

No I didn’t get any security messages (though have had them with my IPhone when trying to book certain classes telling me I’m connected to an insecure website etc) It just wouldn’t download properly.
However am away at the moment and was using my phone without WiFi and it downloaded! So have now read this review.
Im hoping to go next week when in London for a couple of days.
