Anna C
Hi Need2dance, welcome to the forum. :-) Sorry to hear about your dd's injury. What medical advice have you sought? Has she seen a physio, or a specialist dance physio?
Anjuli_Bai
Absolutely get it checked out by a medical professional.
Need2Dance.
Dd says its hardly serious and doesn't exactly hurt and she says it feels like it needs to click back in to place, she's not even sure if it is the bone or muscel but it's in that area. Thanks,
Anna C
I would strongly advise seeking medical advice ASAP. Sorry if that sounds obvious but it could be anything so you don't want to risk making it worse by continuing to dance on it - or us giving medical advice on an undiagnosed injury. Best of luck and keep us posted. :-)
Anjuli_Bai
The thing to do is to take care of before it is serious - by seeking medical advice.
taxi4ballet
Couldn't agree more - there might well be an underlying cause that needs investigating and treatment.
JulieW
Definitely worth getting it checked, but bear in mind that GPs can be a bit lacking when it comes to dancers. There'll be people on here who can recommend good dance physios/consultants if you can give us an idea of the area you'd be prepared to travel to
drdance
Couldn't agree more - any change in joints like the knee need looking at by a good sport or dance physio. Some injuries can be managed with self care (ie rest/ice) but if it doesn't resolve after rest and ice then it needs looking at. It might not hurt that much now but if left unchecked it could turn into something more serious.

Anjuli_Bai
It's worth a visit to get a professional opinion - so everyone feels better about it.
