Diandri 46
Very sad to read on the Guardian website this evening that Sir Robert Cohan has died. Anyone who remembers London Contemporary Dance Theatre will be aware of his massive contribution he & they made to the UK dance scene & of course through The Place. RIP Sir Robert.
Jan McNulty 20,958
This is sad news indeed. London Contemporary Dance Theatre was the first dance company I knowingly saw in the mid-1970s and Sir Robert Cohan was a giant of contemporary dance in the UK. I have particularly fond memories of the company performing his piece Masque of Separation which I was fortunate to see on a number of occasions. RIP Sir Robert. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2021/jan/13/sir-robert-cohan-modern-dance-legend-dies-aged-95
alison 13,013
I see from the Links that the Guardian has already produced 3 tributes to him, but as yet nothing from any other papers.
