Musical theatre degree offers advice

I'm hoping someone will be able to give me some advice. My daughter is in year 13 and submitting online auditions for musical theatre and dance degrees, she's already had an offer from one place but it's not her top school and they need a response by 1st Feb. I'm new to all this so confused as to what she's supposed to do as she's stressing that if she accepts this place and then gets another offer that she'd prefer she won't be able to take it. The dates for submission are quite spread out and it's likely she won't know the outcome of her favourite school until the first/second week of February. We don't know anyone who's been through this before so any information would be greatly appreciated!

We had this issue last year, although not for MT. We replied to the offer saying thank you very much but we’re not in a position to accept any offers as yet due to the long audition season this year, and said no more than that. They kept the offers open without us having to explicitly ask them to do so.

Welcome to the forum, Davina. ☺️ Good advice from Faraway Dancer - this is a problem that arises every year, unfortunately! I would second contacting the school and thanking them for the offer.  If you accept the offer, is there a contract to be signed/deposit to be paid, or are you able to accept it provisionally?

Thank you for replying, there is a uniform fee to pay and accommodation booking form so this is what's stressing her out as she doesn't want to book accommodation & pay deposits and then have to refuse it later. I'll get her to email the school thanking them for the offer🙂

We have an offer too but with all the delays with the others and also not being able to physically go and see the place which I really want to do before we accept anything we have just thanked them and hoping they will be patient!
