Hannah Bateman’s Retirement from Northern Ballet

Recommended Posts

  • Jan McNulty changed the title to Hannah Bateman’s Retirement from Northern Ballet

Her valedictory performance will be on 21st March at Leeds Grand but she will be performing until the end of the season.

Hannah has been a wonderful ambassador for Northern Ballet over the past 18 years.  Her Cleopatra was absolutely breath-taking as was her interpretation of Jane Eyre.  Over 2 runs she was partnered initially with Javier Torres and latterly (on the MainStage tour) with Joseph Taylor and she was utterly magnificent in both.  Her creation of Henriette in Casanova was extremely moving and she shone in all of Kenny Tindall's choreography.

Hannah will be much missed from the Northern Ballet dancers' roster.

I would like to send her very best wishes for the future.
