Lucky Tokyo indeed.....what  a wonderful line-up!

Very  pleased for Akane Takada after she had to miss the RB Japan tour this summer.

Edit.. I love her sideways slo-mo leap into Ryoichi Hirano's arms in the video!

Further Edit...I also love the reference to Akane and William Bracewell dancing the  "Grandpa de Do" from Act 3 of Coppelia!

This sounds like a special tribute to people like me...

This is the kind of occasional programme the RB should mount in London and elsewhere.

There are some nice novel partnerships here too.

Totally agree.

Although RB gives more than 100 performances at Royal Opera House, this kind of show has been missing.

I did suggest it to Kevin O'Hare in my letter to him. Although I had a polite acknowledgement of my letter he didn't address any of the points I raised including this one.

I suppose this sort of performance takes a lot of organising and quite a lot of what they're doing is in the current rep. So it may not be thought suitable to do it in a gala type performance in London. Having said that some is new and would be great to see.
