Bridie don’t forget the dancers choose to do all these extra events, so they aren’t obliged to miss out on potential rest periods.  They do it for international exposure, artistic fulfilment and the extra money.  Good on ‘em, too!

and SEATS starting at $10 (£8.26 on today's scale) in a 472 seat capacity theatre (originally opened as the Elgin in 1941 and renewed to a purely dance venue called The Joyce in 1981) which - happily - has sight lines that are far superior to, say, many of the places in the 'renewed' Linbury (which admittedly has a capacity of 392).
