Well, I'm sure certain people will be pleased about that news.

And for all McRae's original dates with Hayward.

Not surprising!

Not me - had hoped for Sambé!

I'm thrilled but it's bittersweet because I can't get to any of those performances.

Likewise.

My (9 year old) daughter had especially wanted to watch McRae so she'll be disappointed with the change.

I totally wish Mr McRae a speedy and lasting recovery. But I personally think Alex Campbell fits the part, so will look forward to seeing him. And am already seeing Sambé, so excited for that as well  😁

I booked a ticket for 4th January within minutes of seeing the update on the website earlier. Now I just have to decide if I still want to see Campbell with Morera as well.

Very pleased it’s Campbell! Would have been happy to see Sambe too but I think after Manon and especially in this ballet the Hayward/Campbell partnership will go well together.

And I don’t know when was the last rime Campbell has an opening night? (I know Sambe hasn’t had one yet either I believe but he’s only recently a principal.)

Does each Lilac Fairy usually only dance with one cast? I'd hoped to see Storm-Jensen in the role but as I'm not booked for O'Sullivan/Hay does that mean I'm unlikely to get to see her?

I also wonder this re casting ‘sets’ - I really want to see Hayward/Sambe as Bluebird/Florine but not sure which cast they will be in!

I also believe Magri is cast as the lilac fairy (?) and would love to see her!

Probably not with O'Sullivan and Hay...it was Hamilton and Corrales today.

Thanks Richard! I would also be intrigued to see what Hamilton/Corrales do with the role, I’m also seeing Naghdi/Ball so hoping I get lucky with casting!

As this run starts tomorrow will there be any further news of casting for at least the other main parts in Sleeping Beauty apart from the two leads....I'm seeing O'Sullivan and Hay on 5th December ....any news of supporting roles in this casting?

Looks like almost all the dancers I'd like to see will be appearing with a cast I'm not seeing then!

Thanks Richard well I hope that's true for Dec 5th ....something extra to look forward to.....my first ballet outing since July ....I certainly wasn't expecting Corrales that day as well so that's great news.

I had a cast-change email the other day to say that Philip Mosley would be performing Dr. Coppelius in one of the performances of Coppelia I'm going to.  Can't remember which one :(

I had an email to say

We are contacting you to let you know about the following cast changes:

Monday 23 December, 7.00pm
Saturday 28 December, 7.00pm

The role of Dr Coppelius will be performed by Bennet Gartside.

It was originally scheduled to be Marriott.

The dancers down for Dr Coppelius are now Gary Avis, Bennet Gartside, Philip Mosley and Thomas Whitehead apart from the first performance, which is a school’s matinee, when Jonathan Howells is still listed.

You are correct. Magri will debut as Lilac Fairy and Blue Bird. I really hope she is casted in the cinema relay in one of the two roles since that’s the only way I can see her in those.

It's sad that they don't do that anymore (unless it's for the cinema relay).

The lack of information about casting for the Lilac fairy etc seems to downgrade the importance of the roles, although,it must make life easier for those responsible for casting, particularly when so many changes are likely to be necessary.

I just checked the casting for Friday's Beauty performance.  Akane Takada is replaced by Fumi Kaneko.  Ryoichi HIrano is, currently,  still listed as the Prince.

Edited to add that Ryoichi Hirano has now been replaced by Reece Clarke.

As mentioned on the other thread, Reece Clarke is now replacing Ryoichi Hirano on Friday.
