clueless1604
On the back of the black pointe shoe thread, does anyone have any tips for turning pointe shoes white? The lady in our local shop suggested plimsoll white net - does this work? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Lisa O`Brien
At Urdang, many moons ago, we had to use pump whitener too.
clueless1604
Thank you for replying. I've had a go with the whitener but it doesn't seem to be doing more than mattifying them the way calamine does 🤔 I'm tempted by paint, although my art student DS is saying 'don't do it, mum!' alison
From what I remember about plimsoll whitener, I can't imagine it being too helpful, but I'm afraid I don't know what else to suggest. Don't normal fabric dyes work on pointe shoes?
Pas de Quatre
Not sure whether it would work, but a thick solution of cornflour or laundry starch?
Viv
I know you can turn pointe shoes tan using either a liquid or a powder foundation. Could you buy white foundation from a stage makeup store (used for turning people into ghosts etc) and pancake with that?
