LinMM
What a really lovely afternoon spent with LBC at the rehearsal of the English National Ballet School’s winter showcase. Obviously won’t report on the students (the programme was very varied a mixture of classical and contemporary pieces) and they are ALL talented in some way. They are so so lucky to have Viviane Durante as their Director too. I hope I will be able to see them again at the end of the school year to see how they are progressing. It’s always quite moving to see young talented people trying their very best to succeed in doing what they love.

LBC
As one of the trustees not involved with arranging the AGM, I was very impressed with the smooth running of the event, with voting automated via Zoom. Well done! And personally delighted with the enthusiasm and knowledge oozing out of Jonathan Lo, new music director at Australian Ballet, in the interview with Graham Watts that followed. The good news is that Jonathan is still planning to guest conduct for ballets in the UK, and elsewhere.

alisonruss
Unfortunately I can’t attend the Zoom meeting, but someone else might like to ask Constance Devernay-Laurence what it was like to alternate the roles of Princess Stephanie and Marie Vetsara for five performances in four days of the production ‘The Scandal at Mayerling’ in Glasgow last April.
