Fiz Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Yesterday my ex dd received her degree in Lincoln Cathedral. It was a beautiful ceremony and we were very proud of her. To see all those hopeful young faces going off to face an indifferent and job scarce new world was almost more than my heart could bear and I was very near to tears as they all processed down the aisle.Lincoln was built in the Middle Ages, of honey coloured local stone and has flying buttresses and beautiful, original stained glass, which in not the case in many cathedrals. Thank goodness the Lincoln Victorian city father were more concerned with Mammon than cathedral "improvements"! 6
Anna C Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Many many congratulations to your dd Fiz. :-) 1
Julie 2 Milner Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Many congratulations. Sounds a lovely day. A harsh world for them all to be going into right now. All we can do is keep going:-) 1
