Help needed - pointe shoe lifespan survey

Good day to everyone,

I am here to ask you kindly for your help. I am currently trying to obtain data for my school project about ballet, which is problematic due to my place of residence.

The questionnaire is anonymous and consists of just one question.

Thank you for your help!

Regards

Hi Aleksja
Just wanted to say that I wanted to help but I can't really, as I and many on this forum are parents of dancers who are still growing. So my daughter has outgrown most of her pointe shoes before they 'died'. She's had about four pairs a year for three years but only worn them for 30-60 minutes a week. Hopefully you will get responses from dancers wearing them more consistently, rather than for a half-hour at a time!

Hi. I can’t access the survey either. If it helps my DD is not at vocational school and has only had one pair of Pointes ‘die’ during Panto run of 18 shows. Other than that she has outgrown the shoes. Not just length but the box has started to rub as her feet have changed shape due to the intensity as her training has developed. About 6 pairs an academic year. Always has two pairs to alternate between classes.  Currently RAD Grade 8/Intermediate

DD has recently stopped growing (she is 17) and finds how long she gets from a pointe shoe varies. Freed generally last less than a single class, she uses Russian Pointe and gets a few weeks out of them (generally about 2-3). She is en pointe probably 4-5 hours a day Monday-Friday, sometimes more.
