LinMM
I cannot find another thread for this but wondered if they have announced Nutcracker casting yet for the London Coli season. The website is a bit frustrating as you can go into Nutcracker but it wants to take you straight to the booking at the Coli and I would like to see casting first if possible for the days I can go. Have I missed a trick from their website? Or perhaps too soon for casting announcements for December etc? Many thanks anyone with any more info

I agree with you, LinMM, that this makes booking difficult, especially at a time of year when there are competing claims on one's decisions. Fonty
Are there any stand out casts for these Nutcrackers? I am a little out of touch with ENB. Edited to add, I have seen Rojo and Takahashi many times. Be nice to see someone new. Edited November 14, 2017 by Fonty
Sim
Fonty, my personal choice would be Jurgita, Shiori, Rina, or Katja. Francesca Velicu might be interesting; I thought she was just outstanding in Bausch's Rite a few months ago; I would be interested in seeing what she is like in a real classical role. I have seen her in other things, but not a 'tutu' ballet.
capybara
Rina Kanehara was an exquisite revelation when she danced Clara last year and her match up with Aitor Arrieta (the joint winner with RIna of this year's ENB Emerging Dancer Award) and newcomer Fernando Carratala Coloma looks really interesting. [I agree with Sim's other mentions also, by the way.] Among the men, Aaron Robison (paired with Dronina and Cao), Ken Saruhashi (paired with Khaniukova and Velicu), Caley and Cirio are all going to be worth a look as they take on the role of the Nephew/Prince for the first time.
Jan McNulty
I saw Rina Kanehara last year in Liverpool and she made the (for me) tedious production worth seeing. I think she is absolutely exquisite.
aileen
I have seen Shiori, Rina and Katja as Clara/SPF. The first two were exceptional in the role and Katya was also excellent, particularly as she had to contend with a last minute change of partner in a role involving lots of tricky lifts. It's a shame that Francesca only gets one performance; in such a long run I would have thought that she could have been given another.
