Jan McNulty
DANCEEAST PRESS RELEASE Wednesday 18 October 2017 Look inside: DanceEast’s virtual tour is now live Have you ever wondered what it looks like inside Ipswich’s Jerwood DanceHouse? You can now see for yourself without leaving the comfort of your own home, with DanceEast’s virtual tour. The virtual tour is a wonderful way to familiarise yourself with the DanceHouse layout before you arrive for a class, workshop, performance, or even just to sit and enjoy our café. The tour, which is embedded in DanceEast’s website, is ideal for those who might be anxious about going to new places and experiencing new environments, and for those who would like a look around to see what goes on in the Jerwood DanceHouse. Every room, studio and corridor that you might need to access – even DanceEast’s theatre – is included in the virtual tour, providing an accurate idea of where you need to go, how you can get there and where the closest facilities are. Alternatively, if you’re looking to host a private or corporate function, all rooms are available to hire. Use the tour to view each space; a great way to get an idea of which area is best suited to your needs. DanceEast would like to thank Carl Lamb at Ambient Light for producing the Virtual Tour. It is based at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich, the home of dance in the East of England. DanceEast’s programme embraces the artistic, educational, social and recreational roles that dance plays in the local and national arts ecology. It places artists at the heart of the organisation, presenting high-quality high-profile dance work in the Jerwood DanceHouse and offering artists support, development and stimulation via programmes such as the Associate Artist Scheme, Rural Retreats, Professional Development workshops, advanced level classes and the Choreographic Development Fund. DanceEast has been running a range of innovative community projects for over thirty years, working closely with partners on local, national and international projects. DanceEast is a registered charity, funded by Arts Council England, Suffolk County Council, Ipswich Borough Council, and donations from individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations. Thanks to Catalyst: Evolve funding, all donations DanceEast receives before 31 August 2019 will be matched by Arts Council England £1 for £1, doubling their value. There has never been a better time to donate, and contribute to the future of great dance at the Jerwood DanceHouse.
