I am so glad I found this post I have been stalking our postman:-).My dd auditioned in london on the 15th of jan at 2.30.It was her first time to audition for the RBS.She really enjoyed the day and came out with a smile on her face.My daughter is 13 and we are not from london does anyone know what year she would be in if she was luckly enough to get in and also are there many places this year for her age group. Also when are we likely to hear.Sorry for all questions

@ Dance ATM - when does she hit 14? If she is a year 9 academic school she will be looking at a year 10 SA place?? There are not many places for any year TBH :'(

I think we will hear next week rather than this week - I seem to remember letters for finals coming out 2 weeks before so there was a mad dash looking for B&Bs, hotels etc?? Finals are on around 24th Feb if I remember correctly?

Best of luck everyone

Can I just check with those who know please-my DD auditioned for SA year 11 (she isn't a current SA) for Birmingham but we didn't tick lower school so I assume we won't hear anything 'til after all the finals-so will that be about early April? That is a looooong wait! Keeping realistic though-I heard there were only about 16 places??! Correct me if I'm wrong..

Hi Frangapani thanks for replying. She will be 14 on the 12th of Septemper she is in first year in secondary school.Did your DD audition ?

I make that year 9 Mids in that case. Yes my DD auditioned. She is currently a Mid but is trying for SAs and White Lodge. Best of luck with the wait!

Hi frangapani are there limited places for year 9 as well. The wait is killing me.Do you mind me asking is this your daughters first time to audition for white lodge. Do you think we will have to wait much longer.I was thinking that I would hear this week. My dd comes in from school each day hoping the letter has arrived. Best of luck to your dd too and if this is not your dd first time to audition I commend you for being able to go through this again

yes places are always limited - there are only 6 year 9 MAs in DDs class right now. She has auditioned for White Lodge every year, getting to finals for year 7. She realises there is naff all chance for year 10 but is prepared to show her face again anyway! (she doesn't give up that easily!!!)

I honestly think the letters will be next week so am chilled out about the wait - I will start stressing from next week!!!!

OMG Frangapani cant believe you and your dd have been through this every year.I have always known about the RBS but to me it was just my dd dream that would never happen and then last summer her teacher came to me and told me she would like her to audition.I was so shocked as was my daughter. We are from Ireland and my daughter was the only one asked to go.I am seeing now that maybe we have left it a bit late to start auditioning for a place in white lodge. My dd really enjoyed the day and I have always told her there is a very slim chance of getting in but in the back of my mind I was thinking it could happen for her. Thanks for making me see how hard it really is and well done to your dd for making it to finals in year 7 she must be a fantastic dancer.I wish her all the best this year and maybe this will be her luckly year x God I am so nervous about getting the letter now and more than likely giving my dd the bad news Thanks again Frangapani let me know how your dd gets on and ill let you know when we hear x

Oh let me know if you hear anything over the weekend.I live in Dublin so mine will arrive later than yours.I was wondering does anyone know if i would get the results sent by email I got the audition time, dates ect sent by email followed by a letter and not enough postage was paid on the stamp so the letter arrived a week later.I was hoping that this letter would be different dont think I would last another week without any news Thanks x
