Lisa O`Brien
Welcome to the Forum, Armydancer. I know there is one Forum member who is married to a military man, there may be more. I'm sure they'll be along in no time to help you out.

primrose
We are a military family. My daughter attended vocational school from the age of 11. Boarding school allowance applies the same for vocational school as normal boarding schools provided they are on the approved list.
Armydancer
Primrose, Did you just claim the CEA and pay the diffrance? I know tring is qjuite alot and think we can afford. is there an option to use CEA and some MDS if child is good enough to be offered it? Thanks in advance
primrose
My husband dealt with it all. You just have to pay the difference. MDS is means tested so whatever that cost is can be put towards boarding school allowance. My daughter finished tring in 2011 so a few years ago now. primrose
Just treat it the same as claiming for any other boarding school.
