Balletbod
Hi, Can anyone tell me how the old Associate ISTD exam compares to DDI/DDE? I understand that Associates are not accredited. So if you wanted to progress further in higher education would you have to go back and study DDE etc first? Appreciate if anyone can advise! Thanks x Edited August 20, 2016 by Balletbod
drdance
I'm not sure but I think you can apply for exemption from certain elements of the DDI/DDE based on experience, exam results, other qualifications you've done since etc. I did the Modern Associate when I was 18 but then did a degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury prevention, the RAD TC, a PhD in dance science and a PGCE and all of that meant that I was granted exemption from having to study any of the DDE modules several years ago. Incidentally I finally got the certificate last week!
