Shanghai Ballet: Echoes of Eternity, London, August 2016

I will be curious to see what others felt about this.  I fear this was simply not to my taste.  Indeed I found the programme - with its mired recorded patchwork of a score - often wearisome - nay, tediously repetitive - and so wished these dancers were given an opportunity to mark their potential stealth in ballet on these shores.  This is the second time they have brought a piece by this choreographer to the Coliseum.  The previous was their Jane Eyre.  That said I did appreciate the costumes last night.  The colourful fabrics moved well - even in some extremely dim lighting - and were designed by a former POB etoile who I certainly long admired.
