Tony Newcombe
Just came across a rather witty crossword clue Ballet dancer in a tin boat. (9) Any thoughts
GTL
I'm not a crossword-doer and this must be too obscure for an answer in a general publication but - Shipulina (as in the Bolshoi's Ekaterina)?

LinMM
It can't be Corsaire can it.....only because it's loosely connected with boats and is an ENB ballet I'm useless at crosswords anyway but got me thinking

AnneMarriott
Oh, is there a prize? I love crosswords but on this occasion I confess I started by trying to find boats with nine letters - there aren't that many. When I got to "catamaran" I stared at it for ages before the solution dawned. Thanks for flagging it up!
Jan McNulty
I'm hopeless at cryptic crosswords!

I had the advantage of already having 3 letters CTM and thought that there was only one answer but it took another 5 minutes before the penny dropped

Ian Macmillan
Neat! Don't know where the crossword is from, but you'd need to be one of the 'in crowd' to get the answer.

GTL
So, do we harbour a professional crossword-compiler on board our forum? I think we should set them the challenge of getting "dodgy Italian fouettés" into next week's puzzle.
