Many and hearty congratulations to young Mr. Corrales.  He is an extraordinary and special artist with so much to give.  His obvious dedication enhances the viewing pleasure of us all.  It is, simply, an inspriation.

Congratulations to all but I am dismayed to learn that Ksenia has left the company.

From the Corsaire in Paris thread:

She's leaving for Berlin State Ballet, where she will start as principal dancer in October.

Rather following the trend of other companies, only two new graduates are joining the company - plus Rina Kanehara following her Prix de Lausanne apprenticeship.

Congratulations to everyone.

Congratulations to everyone.

Francesca Velicu (18) is a new graduate too. She was already dancing with the company in Bucharest (she danced Kitri and Theme & Variations leading role), but as a student: she graduated from the ballet school just few weeks ago.

And Georgia Bould previously was a student from ENBS when she joined, but has now been given a full cintract. So 4 out of 5 is good.

Great news for all the promotees, somewhat heartbroken that one of my favourite ENB dancers is leaving these shores but it sounds like a good opportunity for her. Lucky Berlin.

Yes! As I said on the other thread, I'll keep an eye on her. SBB was much in need for female principals, I'm happy they'll get such a wonderful dancer.

And Giorgio Garret had an 'apprentice-type' contract with the National Ballet of Canada, I believe.

I have now seen that he danced the Prince in ENB's My First Sleeping Beauty in London this month.
