johnross Posted May 5, 2016 Share Posted May 5, 2016 The Cloud Gate Theatre of Taiwan return to the Sadlers WellsTheatre with tons of brown rice, sadly we were only shown the one extract as there are technical difficulties with the rice circle which requires some time to prepare. What we saw was elegant and moving. Until the 7th May. The post-show talk provided some illumination of the work but I didn't really 'get it' and found it terribly long and repetitive. trog Posted May 12, 2016 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I saw this last night as part of IDFB and as I had sussed from the trailers it is a pretentious load of nonsense. It has some good bits but like Aileen, I found it to be very repetitive and over long. There was a reasonable number in the audience, more than for NDT2.
