Pulcinella
An interesting article about the problems black ballet dancers have with their shoes. Specifically cites Eric Underwood and mentions Tyrone Singleton and Brandon Lawrence. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35629323

Don Q Fan
Good article not dissimilar to getting cosmetic companies to make foundations for coloured skin I dare say. Edited March 13, 2016 by Don Q Fan
Fiz
I find it amazing that no one has done anything about this earlier.

alison
Seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it? On the other hand, from the point of view of mass-production I suppose you're not going to be wanting to have to produce too many different tones, which makes me wonder whether there is one or more optimum shade(s) which would be particularly suitable for lightening up or darkening down so as to cover as large a range of skin tones as possible, from Carlos Acosta to Brooklyn Mack, say. The colour shown in the photo looks not that far from American Tan, which I shouldn't have thought was ideal. From discussion of related topics in Doing Dance, I suspect it may not be particularly easy?
