anondancer_15
Hi, can anyone recommend any summer intensives for 18+ years? Residential or non residential, with a budget of around £200? My main focus is ballet and contemporary but I love trying other styles as well. Thanks in advance

Guest
I would recommend opes, it's a bit more than your budget but accommodation and all meals are included in the price. It is more than worth the money you pay, a truly amazing course:)
2dancersmum
Ballet Cymru does have accommodation for 18+ in nearby student accommodation, although the nearby Travelodge may work out cheaper. The 18+ course would certainly stretch you as it is mostly attended by vocational students nearing the end of their training and professional dancers. For contemporary, you might look at Northern Contemporary Dance School summer courses or National Dance Company Wales. Both are non residential and around the £120 mark? so you might be able to bring them in on budget. I don't think the one in Wales is on the website yet - but students stay in a hostel located in the same building as the summer school or in nearby B&Bs. Remember also that at 18 you are old enough to go to the Adult summer courses and workshops and may well find something closer to home.
Jan McNulty
There's the 3-day Ballet Retreat in Leeds but it's non-residential and a bit more than you wanted to pay: http://www.theballetretreat.com
