balletmummy
Does anyone know if MIDAS is running a summer school this year?
drdance
Hi Balletmummy... I wasn't planning on it. I've planned one for the last two years and had to cancel due to lack of registrations. I think there are so many worthwhile courses now during summer, that it doesn't seem like there's a need for it. However if there are people interested, I can look into it further! If you do one late August (if it fits with your plans) I'm sure you will get lots of interest

Kat09
It's always been planned for late August... every year! So many "summer programmes" are planned before the state schools finish this year - you might find a late August one ail be perfect timing this year …. Picturesinthefirelight
We applied a couple of years ago & it was cancelled. For the last two years w have had elmhurst juniors at the end of August but dd is now too old for that. I am afraid that cost did put us off a bit last year. Factoring in travel & possible overnight accommodation dd attended a local summer school with many of the same teachers that Midas was offering at a much lower cost. She treated that one as a fun few days. For a longer more expensive summer course we arnt looking for 'famous guest teachers' but being able to work on things with just one or two specialists/high calibre teachers over the course of a week or an emphasis on getting back to fitness after the summer off.
drdance
I have just put an application form onto the MIDAS website for our summer course. The staff are as yet unconfirmed other than myself and other regular MIDAS staff. Further details will go onto the website the moment I know them! Cost is £40 for 1 day, £75 for 2 days and £100 for 3 days - August 22-24th.
