RIP Paul Kantner and Signe Anderson of Jefferson Airplane

As if 2016 hasn't got off to a tragic enough start, I have just learned that Paul Kantner and Signe Anderson, who was the original singer with Jefferson Airplane, passed away on the same day (28th January).

 

Sincere condolences to their families and friends.

 

Jefferson Airplane were hugely influential in the 70s and eventually transmogrified into Jefferson Starship.

I hadn't heard about Signe Anderson, but I guess that most people have forgotten her as she faded into Grace Slick's shadow. How strange that they passed on the same day! RIP to her too.
