John Mallinson Posted May 22, 2012 Share Posted May 22, 2012 Balanchine's Ballo della regina was first performed by the Royal Ballet in 2011, staged by Merrill Ashley on whom it was created. Johan Kobborg staged Bournonville's La Sylphide in 2005. In this revival the principal couples are Alina Cojocaru & Steven McRae, Tamara Rojo & Dawid Trzensimiech, Roberta Marquez & Steven McRae, Sarah Lamb & Johan Kobborg, Alina Cojocaru & Johan Kobborg, Sarah Lamb & Dawid Trzensimiech.
