anondancer_15
hiya, idk if there's always a thread about this but I couldn't find anything! I struggle a bit with pointe work, and my teacher has said my arches are fine but my metatarsals are a bit weak and that's my main problem, I was wondering if anyone had any ways I can strengthen them to help? Thanks!
sarahw
Hi anondancer there are various exercises you can do with therabands which help. Maybe your teacher would be able to show you? They're not very complicated.
Pas de Quatre
If a teacher identifies a problem, surely the teacher should also show you what you need to do to solve it.

Anon2
If a teacher identifies a problem, surely the teacher should also show you what you need to do to solve it. My thoughts exactly and surprised she didn't check you had the strength through your feet before letting you en pointe. Strengthening before starting will avoid injury and becoming disillusioned.
