  1. I have booked tickets for the Ballet Cymru triple bill at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells in November. I'm not familiar with the area and wondered if anyone could suggest somewhere decent, but not too pricey to eat before or after the performance. Also, I'll be staying in Bermondsey, any tips regarding public transport would be welcome. Thank you !
  2. As I know lots if you frequent the Covent garden area I'm looking for child friendly places to eat in & around Covent Garden. Definatly has to be somewhere that does very plain, simple pub type food. The kids like pizza & pasta but I don't. Some places do steak but it will be very expensive to eat steak every night in London. The places I've found where I will eat don't have a kids menu & the places that do have a kids menu the adult food is too fancy!
  3. I am not sure if the topic fits into this category but I don't know where to put it. It is kind of a general discussion? Have any of you tried dinning at ROH before? How is the experience? I have been to ROH so many times and the dinning section is the only part I have not experienced... Quite curious.
  4. Hi all Looking for recommendations for a quick bite to eat before the Proms - something I've always struggled with. Occasionally treat ourselves to a cocktail and sandwich downstairs in the Albert Hall but can't sustain that for everyday living! Similarly the Barbican. I like the pancake house but I'm sure there are better (and cheaper) places in the area - but my knowledge of that bit of London is not good.
  5. Has anyone had the "pre-theatre supper on the mezzanine level" at Sadlers Wells? any thoughts? I know there is also a Jaimie's Italian very nearby but I like to keep my groups actually in the theatre if I can.
  6. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in Southampton, preferably within about 1/2 a mile from the Mayflower Theatre, please? As I recall, there aren't that many in the area.
  7. We're going to watch the LCB ballet tomorow afternoon. Can anyone recommend somewhere we can eat beforehand at around 3pm ish? Also will the traffic be a nightmare because of the London marathon? Not sure if driving or tube is easier..?
