  1. Hi My daughter has accepted a place on the CAT scheme at Northern Ballet, can anyone tell me what they do at the summer school, we start in a week and I don’t feel very prepared! Any tips would be gratefully received, or are there any other newbies starting!

  3. Can anyone tell me the timings of this course - I know it's 10th -13th April and non-residential, but wondered what times the days start & finish ? Would also appreciate any feedback from anyone having attended this course in the past. Many thanks.

  5. Hi all My DD is in her 1st associate year at Northern Ballet in Leeds and is really enjoying it. She has her assessment on the 10th Feb to see if she will keep her associate place and move to intermediates in Sept. Has anyone been through this before with their Dd's? What percentage do they tend to keep? How hard is the assessment? She also dances in York on the Louise Browne Scholarship. I think they assess them gradually. We are just hopefully she keeps one of them at least!! She loves both!
  6. Hello Everyone I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the NB Professional Graduate Programme, I believe it to be a fairly new course. It is a rather large financial commitment, however it does appear that the students have secured some contracts. Also, is it tremendously difficult to even get to audition stage? I should imagine it's pretty over-subscribed. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Cheers BB

  10. Hi everyone, I'm in the lucky position of being able to choose which summer schools to attend this year- i am booked in to attend OPES for a week, and the Urdnag pre-audition course. I am also choosing between the Northern Contemporary summer school, the National Dance company of wales summer school, or a week at London Studio Centre on either the contemporary week or the advanced ballet week. I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations about these courses or which one may be the most beneficial, or what the wales or northern courses are like? With a week of mostly ballet at OPES, and one of musical theatre at Urdang, i'm not sure what would be the best choice, or the more 'serious' course. Thanks to anyone who can help lb xx
