Great performance of Shostakovich cherry time Moscow by Welsh national youth opera in Cardiff millennium centre. Very enjoyable one act . Orchestra played beautifully. Lovely young singers though a couple of the men sounded ever so Welsh rather than Russian....sung in English.....lead lady sang like an angel and included some flowey ballet moves even though dressed in dungarees. Shostakovich music very dancey throughout though minimal movement in show. Altogether very enjoyable show and we'll worth the visit

Ballet Cymru's new version of Dream on at Newport Riverfront this week and on tour . Enjoyed this performance some lovely dancing from the company. New music being played sidestage by its composer (drums stringed instruments and recorders) was interesting then repetitive after a while. Some really funny moments particularly when the "Bottom" gang were on stage. Puck deserves special mention. Lead couple danced pdd beautifully. A great evening of ballet in Wales. Well done all.
