  1. she was 11 the 1st time 13 the 2nd and 14 the 3rd ...they are put into groups but all get the same amount of dances in the show.... it is split into Dance and MT and they go to see a show in London too ..my daughter does not do tap and you only audition for the tap number if you want to.....
  2. It is truly wonderful.. amazing teachers from the school, you cannot fault the organisation, the host families do it most years, they are very well looked after, my dd had the time of her life... tears when it all ended, but friends made that she still keeps in contact with. At the end of the week they put on a performance which I have no idea how they manage it in a week... even with costumes...... I seriously cannot recommend it highly enough
  3. My thoughts are the same ..is it the adult promoting the child to see if anyone notices them?... anyone can look and see where your child is heading that day and look at pictures... I also worry that the children who follow the ones doing so well can get upset if they have knock backs ..I know a young girl who became quite poorly with all the competition of photos etc on these sites .... I personally have no interest to be looking at teenagers I don't know photos etc ..that would just be wrong.... but we all have our own views....
  4. I find this very disturbing ...why would you want strangers to see where your DC train, audition, their day to day whereabouts and pictures in leotards?. To me its just trying to promote your child .. its unhealthy and will spiral out of control.
  5. congratulations ... may I ask what day you did the audition and if you got to do solo, physio etc, also was it an email or letter ...just trying to work out wait time as we were only last week
  6. well my DD is continually being told shes weak even though she has long lean muscles and no bulk...then she has had huge growth spurts and is looking strangely out of proportion ..I don't know if its good to push a body to be stronger during this huge growing bambilike phase
  7. oh i found it on page 3 Christchurch summerschool looks fab
  8. there was a summerschool on here near The New Forest, Lilac looked really good in a theatre with production im not sure where it was advertised though

  12. so do they just do one ballet class per day followed by all the other styles..... thank you for all your advice
  13. Can anyone tell me more about the actual summerschool ie standard and if they do other types of dance and weather it is every day for the 2 weeks or do they not go at the weekends ... i cant seem to find anyone who has done it or maybe most come from abroad ..thank you

My DS is thinking of applying but not sure if it is all Ballet, very intense and if you go every day for the 2 weeks or is it Monday to Friday? and what times or generally any other feedback would be most helpfull.
