    Anyone heard anymore about mds?! im getting worried about everything! Not sure whether to tell local authority that she’s not going to school here or not!

    I think there’s another meeting planned for boarders, so anyone that wasn’t sent the link for this one may want to ask for that link if they’re boarding. funding wasn’t mentioned at yesterdays meeting, other than they’d check with finance office!

    Is anyone starting at Hammond in September doing any summer intensives? I was meaning to book onto Hammond summer one, but see it’s full now! Oops! would be nice to see if anyone may meet each other before sept at any other intensives? X

    Had a letter to say there has delays with the funding, but to fill out boarding forms. Hoping to hear something soon.

    Looking back - I see it’s not the mds forms I’ve filled out, but Hammond financial forms. I’m still very confused about everything! I guess if the mds offer comes back as still being unaffordable, people will hand them back? Hard to know until it comes though!

    Congrats to your daughter! We had mds forms attached to our offer email and had 3 days to return them. not heard anything since then though, so don’t know what our contribution will be or when we will hear more. I don’t even know what it covers - hoping for more info asap!

    Communication has been as promised with us. Don’t want to make anyone else feel worse that they haven’t heard yet, but hopefully some other than me have had good communication. we were told on the audition day that she was offered a place, 2 weeks later official email offering MDS, personal replies to emails I have sent and then email this week to invite to zoom call. please don’t think I’m rubbing any one’s noses in it - just wanted to put a positive experience out there as if there are others like me, I felt a bit anxious that the school has got a lot of negative comments. Starting to worry about sending my daughter there! looking forward to seeing who else is starting in September!

    Have you tried emailing/calling? You’d think you’d have heard something by now. They said 2 weeks to hear. Maybe worth chasing it up? You must be pulling your hair out waiting!

    I had to pay registration fee and send all paper work back by last Friday, so hopefully people are hearing more this week?

    Do you know when the deadline for applications is for summer school please? We’re not sure if we can commit to those dates until the middle of April!

    Our audition was the same day as yours and we got our official acceptance on Tues. hopefully you’ll hear today to save another weekend of anxiety! I wonder (and there’s no factual knowledge on this), whether they offer certain amounts of places and wait for yes/no to see how many left there are to do second round of offers? No idea, but may be why some people hear before others? That said - it doesn’t seem like many have heard from them yet? hope you hear soon!

    On the basis that I’m poor, I can only assume I’ll qualify!!!!! Thankyou for clarifying! I wasn’t sure if it meant something like ‘if there’s anything left in the pot, you may get it!’

    DD has been offered a place with provisional MDS funding. Does that mean it is funded for definite?

    Yes for us too! She’ll be chuffed when I pick her up! Anyone got any experience who’s had a will be year 7 doing the course? Wondering what to expect!

    I’d best start talking my daughter down then! Seems exceptionally hard that 10 year olds have been told by the school they’ll be there in September, then us parents have to say no to the kids that have let themselves get carried away. At least I can start prepping her for bad news now. (Whilst keeping everything crossed for her!)

    Crikey! So some people were told explicitly that they would be offered funding there and then?! I was hoping being offered a place on same day of auditions would mean a funded place. Hopefully letters will come out soon!
