I’m also wondering about this, when do we think they mean by ‘Easter’?! Do they break up today for the hols? I know they normally send out WL results first, but it looks like they’ve been out a while now.

They will also have to finish all current MA assessments first so would be after that I would of thought

A happy yes here too! Would anyone be able to share their experience in the junior program? It's a bit shorter than most intensives ...  what can they expect?

my daughter has been the last two years on the junior programme and really enjoyed it both times, they do a sharing of work at the end, they usually perform two ballet numbers and a jazz piece at the end, they are split into age groups, they have good fun, they have an evening of question and answers with a member of Birmingham royal ballet previously and watched a ballet film another night in the theatre. It’s a great Summer intensive and they meet new friends which is always nice for them.

I received an email saying w/c 13/3 for results

hopefully it’s sooner then this year, I had a confirmation email when I sent in the application form and it just said we will be in touch after the closing date but no mention of when the results were coming on mine

Very odd. Maybe those students have got a place through other means. As in didn’t get into the school full time but have been offered the summer intensive?

yes that makes sense, just checked emails was June both last year and year before when we got results although I do think the deadline was sooner this time if I’m correct

One of the current Year 7s at White Lodge received a straight no from Tring. There is an element of luck to these auditions and happening to have someone in the room whose eye you catch! 🤷🏻‍♀️

this is good to know, and encouraging to read as was definitely a downer to start of with a straight no

Daughter had her first audition for Tring last Sunday and it was unfortunately a no. This is all very new to us, does anyone have any experience of a no from Tring but a yes from other schools?

we also got a straight no from last Sundays audition. Was wondering the same thing.

  7. We bought one from dream beams and barres and I’m really glad we invested in it as it’s had so much use and still looks brand new it’s easy to dismantle and put back together. I did debate at the time getting one slightly cheaper

  8. I’ve searched through the threads but can’t seem to find this mentioned, for the screening application photos for tring does anyone know if they need to be barefoot or with ballet shoes/socks or ballet shoes/tights?can’t see it mentioned on the requirements.  Currently year 8. Thanks 😀

  9. Wondering if anyone can help, on the Elmhurst picture requirements it has two categories for photo requirements one says all students and summer school and one says Year 9 onwards. If auditioning as a current year 8 to try for year 9 entry do you fall under the first category or year 9 onwards? Not sure if it’s classed as current year or year your auditioning for. Thanks

I have a lot of hair and I find that splitting the ponytail into two sections and doing it in two twists instead of one really helps.

Getting a spray bottle of water to use before brushing it really helps me as well :)

Bottle of water spray sounds a great idea! I know gel before can make it crunchy and hard to style, thank you!

If she is struggling because there's so much hair to wrap around, she can split the ponytail in two and wrap half into a rope and twist it roubd into a bun shape, then do the other half the opposite way round.

If they want a flatter bun, once it's coiled round, put a bun net over it and then let it loosen (allow it to unwind slightly) and shape it into a flatter shape before pinning.

Pins can go in at an angle, pointing towards the outside of the bun and then kind of fold back on themselves to pin inwards. No idea if that makes sense, it's hard to describe!

That’s a great tip about splitting into two thank you!
