    Last year we waited until end of May Iā€™m sure for Mids so hopefully not much longer x

    I went through all this last year with my ds. He applied for year 8 last year with only 3 boys in finals for that year. He sadly didnā€™t make it and was absolutely heartbroken. It took a long time to get over it but it the end he was fine and decided not to apply again this year. What will be will be. You can spend hours/days trying to figure out why it was a no but itā€™s not worth it. They will all get there in their own time. Hope everyoneā€™s dc are ok.

    Itā€™s a yes for my ds. He got a yes last summer and spring this year also but hasnā€™t managed to make any of them. Heā€™s so excited to eventually get to go šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

    My ds was in the first group to dance last year so no time to warm up at all. Might be different this year. šŸ¤ž

    No he does MA classes at Dundee which is great xx

    Big congratulations to everyone. I went through all of these emotions last year with my ds who made it to finals for year 8 but didnā€™t get a place. We decided to give it a miss this year due to all these restrictions. Very best of luck for the finals guys. šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

    I have done the same as I had to give up DSā€™s place on the spring also. Hoping he gets a summer place and hoping that it goes ahead as heā€™s missed summer last year and now spring this year too. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

    I also gave up my sons place about a month ago as coming from Scotland wasnā€™t going to work. Gutted but I hope someone from here gets it. šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

    My son applied for year 8 at White Lodge last year. There were so many people at finals although mostly girls. My son made it down to the final 3 but sadly did not get in. None of the boys in the final 3 made it into the school. Itā€™s really tough to get in. Itā€™s the most amazing experience though so I would say go and enjoy it. We have no experience of Elmhurst as didnā€™t apply but his associate teacher said that we should have. Good luck to everyone auditioning this year, we have decided not to do it. Best of luck šŸ¤ž

    For anyone on the waitlist, I have just given up my DS place. Given the current situation with Covid-19 and travelling from Scotland to London I just donā€™t think itā€™s going to happen. Iā€™m absolutely gutted as this is now the second time he has missed out due to Covid. Best of luck to everyone else and Iā€™m hoping that maybe he can apply for summer and have a better chance of getting down there. šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

    My ds auditioned last year and made it to finals. He was auditioning for year 8 and has only been doing ballet for a couple of years. He sadly didnā€™t get in but plans to try again. The entire experience of going to white lodge is amazing but very daunting for them. I have no idea what they look for, I wish I did. Heā€™s currently a mid associate and started as a ja. We havenā€™t tried any of the other schools as yet so canā€™t comment on what they look for as I think they are all very different.

    My son is also gutted. He made it to final auditions at white lodge this year but didnā€™t get a place. This was all he had left. I had prepared him for it but heā€™s gutted all the same

    Well if My son canā€™t board he wouldnā€™t be going so if that happens his place will be given back for someone else. Im waiting to see what they say with regards to boarding

    I asked Royal Ballet a few days ago if theirs was still planned to go ahead and they think it is.

    Yeah Iā€™ve already done this too. He was expecting it anyway with everything thatā€™s going on. Just disappointing for them all. šŸ˜ž

    My son is supposed to attend Royal Ballet summer school which isnā€™t cancelled as yet. I expect it to get cancelled, Iā€™m sure the last email I received said they would reach a decision by the end of May. He couldnā€™t go if we couldnā€™t board as we stay in Scotland. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

    I have just seen this is cancelled which probably means The Royal Ballet Summer School will be cancelled also.

    My ds auditioned in January for Dundee but as auditions havenā€™t taken place for that centre as yet he has to wait until that takes place before he finds out, which could be August. Itā€™s a long wait for him. Hope you find out soon.
