    I went through all this last year with my ds. He applied for year 8 last year with only 3 boys in finals for that year. He sadly didn’t make it and was absolutely heartbroken. It took a long time to get over it but it the end he was fine and decided not to apply again this year. What will be will be. You can spend hours/days trying to figure out why it was a no but it’s not worth it. They will all get there in their own time. Hope everyone’s dc are ok.

    It’s a yes for my ds. He got a yes last summer and spring this year also but hasn’t managed to make any of them. He’s so excited to eventually get to go 👏👏👏👏

    My ds was in the first group to dance last year so no time to warm up at all. Might be different this year. 🤞

    No he does MA classes at Dundee which is great xx

    My ds attends the centre in Dundee, he’s been there since it opened and is now an MA x

    Big congratulations to everyone. I went through all of these emotions last year with my ds who made it to finals for year 8 but didn’t get a place. We decided to give it a miss this year due to all these restrictions. Very best of luck for the finals guys. 🤞🤞🤞

    I have done the same as I had to give up DS’s place on the spring also. Hoping he gets a summer place and hoping that it goes ahead as he’s missed summer last year and now spring this year too. 🤦‍♀️

    I also gave up my sons place about a month ago as coming from Scotland wasn’t going to work. Gutted but I hope someone from here gets it. 🤞🤞🤞

    My son applied for year 8 at White Lodge last year. There were so many people at finals although mostly girls. My son made it down to the final 3 but sadly did not get in. None of the boys in the final 3 made it into the school. It’s really tough to get in. It’s the most amazing experience though so I would say go and enjoy it. We have no experience of Elmhurst as didn’t apply but his associate teacher said that we should have. Good luck to everyone auditioning this year, we have decided not to do it. Best of luck 🤞

    For anyone on the waitlist, I have just given up my DS place. Given the current situation with Covid-19 and travelling from Scotland to London I just don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m absolutely gutted as this is now the second time he has missed out due to Covid. Best of luck to everyone else and I’m hoping that maybe he can apply for summer and have a better chance of getting down there. 🤞🤞

    My ds auditioned last year and made it to finals. He was auditioning for year 8 and has only been doing ballet for a couple of years. He sadly didn’t get in but plans to try again. The entire experience of going to white lodge is amazing but very daunting for them. I have no idea what they look for, I wish I did. He’s currently a mid associate and started as a ja. We haven’t tried any of the other schools as yet so can’t comment on what they look for as I think they are all very different.
