  1. Giselle - from 3 December 2021, filmed on 20 November. £16 (The Royal Ballet)
  2. The streamings are doing as many nights of filming, based on the "Camera Filming" notation. 2 days (3 performances) for Giselle and 3 for "Dante" but presumably for DVD release.
  3. Good idea but streaming isn't free. The ROH has to pay for hosting and billing. Don't know the cost or how many tickets it would take to break even.

  5. Apologies if already noted ......ROH stage door policy.... Unfortunately, restrictions are still in place due to COVID-19 and it will not be possible to greet dancers at Stage Door as they come to and from the building.
  6. Didn't know where else to put it - move by all means to more appropriate place,
  7. For those who don't routinely read the Links, there is an interesting (and damning) op/ed from Luke Jennings about the Royal ballet, the school and Liam Scarlett.......
  8. From the ROH Out of consideration for those around you, please wear a face covering at all times, unless exempt for medical reasons. Visit us (roh.org.uk)
  9. I wondered about that as well and it doesn't look like it would get one far at the Bolshoi or the Mariinsky. A little further afield, if you happen to be in "The Gateway to Siberia" (Chelyabinsk) in October and want to see Swan Lake 2,000 RUB will get you a very good seat and the least expensive is 400.
  10. As I'm on my 6th (or 7th) flight cancel/rebook and my 3rd different airport, I'm just keeping an eye on ticket sales to see my chances of a resale if the whole trip falls through.
  11. Perhaps aimed at a different audience with lighter wallets? Totally different type of program and £45.00 get's the mid-amphi at the ROH. The R&J matinee on the 23rd doesn't seem to be selling that well (nor the amphi for any of the performances) but it is still 6 weeks out.
  12. free on channel 4 apparently... Emma Raducanu’s US Open final to be shown free-to-air in UK on Channel 4 | Emma Raducanu | The Guardian
  13. Streaming Royal Opera House returns to streaming this autumn with six stunning productions from its 2021/22 Season (roh.org.uk)
  14. That looks like it....and no mention of streaming... ROH announces glittering line up for first Cinema Season in sixteen months
  15. Longer-term, we are considering further measures to ensure everyone's safety. This may include introducing a COVID certification system. We are awaiting further government guidance on this. We will let our audiences know as soon as possible via email and via our website if our policy changes. Visit us (roh.org.uk)
  16. From someone who has to wear an N95 (FFP 2 equivalent I believe) when seeing COVID patients, I wouldn't recommend it for comfort. It has to fit like second skin, is very hot and not for anyone who is in the least claustrophobic. Looks like vaccine passports may be on the way..... Vaccine passports needed to keep venues in England open, says minister | Vaccines and immunisation | The Guardian The ROH is already working on a program according to the small print on their website. I wonder how it will work for those of us from overseas (with our flimsy US paper cards)?
  17. Singin' in the Rain | UK & Ireland Tour 2021 (singinintherainshow.com)
  18. Speaking of Raymondas...it doesn't appear that the POB has rescheduled their new production that was lost (mostly) to the strike in late 2019.
  19. and Royal Ballet Sleeping Beauty (Nunez).... Sky Arts Sat 11 Sept 6:00 AM
  20. Sorry - could one of the mods please add the date to the title so people don't have to look for it. I can't figure out how to edit it. Thanks
  21. Schedule coming soon. https://worldballetday.com/ #WorldBalletDay returns on 19 October 2021 (roh.org.uk)
  22. I see your point but why is the onus on the performer? Aren't those fans waiting of their own volition, knowing that the performer may not come out or may not want to stop? I clearly don't qualify as a fan 😀. Here's the previous discussion......
