  1. Ballet boost runs summer school for that age group too.
  2. Congratulations- my DD did couple past years in seniors, but not able to do this year. She had great time - hope your DD will enjoy too.
  3. I think this might be due to that this is now 2 years programme - last year was residential (choreography was tested and learnt) and this year is the performance year, so I do suspect that dancers who did last year might more likely be offered a place.
  4. SA1 (year 10) - 12 entry to building with start at 12.30 and finish 2.45 & SA2 (year 11) - 2.15 entry with start of class 2.45 - 5.00
  5. Yes it is - it is much smaller when compared to RBS one - my DD's friend got a place early April couple years ago 🍀
  6. Thank you for letting me know - I have tried to contact them - but no response and I am not able to resubmit until after deadline (not able to get home on time to computer) - so that looks like no chance for my DD this year - oh well.
  7. Trains are every 30 min to Strawberry Hill
  8. I was about to ask same - in 2022 & 2023 confirmation was sent always alongside payment confirmation, but only payment confirmation was sent this year. I do suspect that usually there was a person dedicated to deal with summer school and confirmation email was linked with this and it is not a case this year. I might try to contact them on general summer school email. Good luck everyone 🍀
  9. I think it was a bit quicker last year as show was in April and casting was done only couple weeks after finals. This year the show is in July and casting in early January- so I do suspect early next week, but maybe sooner - fingers crossed and good luck.
  10. We had a similar problem - in particular when shoe shank get softer - we are doing criss - cross invisible elastics and I am putting ribbons bit deeper in angle (using stretchy one - not elastorib). This so far works unless shoe is almost dead or dead.
  11. If you want a brand new one (leos only)- it is from Porselli Dancewear www.dancewear.co.uk
  12. Capezio one is lovely one reasonably priced
  13. I would be very grateful for advice - my DD is about to take her RAD Intermediate exam and we have the following options: either do recorded exam in June or in person in August in RAD HQ (but she will not be able to practice for few weeks before that). Will the score be impacted by recording? She would love to achieve distinction (her previous exams scores range between 97-90).
  14. I have same problem and tried to contact them too. Hopefully, we will get link soon.
  15. ENBS now caters for year 8 and 9 kids - application closes on 30.4.
  16. My DD did it at age of 8 and really enjoyed classes and learned a lot.
  17. It was little bit later in May/early June when info was received last year
  18. London MA1 - 17 girls: 10 girls are year 7, 7 girls year 8, London MA2 - only 2 year 8 girls and 14 girls year 9. It is not clear how many will be assessed out, but if all students stay - there will be about 7-8 spots for year 7, not sure about a year 8 new intake and at least 6-7 spots for year 9
  19. There is Grishko shop with very experienced fitters and Sansha shop - again very skillful fitters. There are few small independent shops where other brands could be found.
  20. YDA graduation year 2022; Boys - RBS, Elmhurst Girls - ENBS - 4 girls, RCS, Rambert, Central, Elmhurst, Laines
  21. I would suggest Ballet Boost and the Academy of Balletic Arts if DC will be attending regular secondary school (classes are afternoon in central London). Other options if you live close to London is Masters of Ballet or Natalia Kremen (again afternoon and weekend classes). If you want to go ahead with vocational secondary and are you near London - YDA is a great choice too.
